Adult Sailing Lessons

Treasure Coast Youth Sailing Foundation offers sailing opportunities for adults through Adult Basic Sailing/Refresher Classes available January through April.  Advance registration is required through the TCYSF website

Sessions are held at Jaycee Park Sailing Center (1800 Melaleuca Drive, South Hutchinson Island) from 1 pm – 4 pm on Wednesdays. A minimum  of four people is required to schedule each series of classes. The cost is $240 per person, for four consecutive Wednesday class sessions. Participants will be required to demonstrate their comfort and ability to swim in a personal flotation device as a condition of participation.

Lessons will cover basics geared to both those new to small boat sailing and those with more experience. Boats used for sailing will launch from the beach and include Butterfly and 420 sailing dinghies and Hobie catamarans. The emphasis is on having fun while learning/relearning the fundamentals of sailing. All proceeds fund TCYSF Youth Scholarships. The experience has led several of our adult sailors to become valuable volunteers to the program.
